Rental and Assurance Conditions

1. Driver’s License and Age Limitations

To rent a car, you must be at least 21 and at most 65 years old and hold a Group B driver's license for at least 1 year. Provided that these conditions are met, the following conditions also apply for economic, middle and upper group vehicles.

- The economic group of cars can be rented by those who are the least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license for 1 year.

- The middle group of cars can be rented by those who are the least 23 years old and have a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years.

- The high group of cars can be rented by those who are the least 25 years old and have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.

2. Rental Period

The minimum car rental period is 24 hours for daily rentals and 30 days for monthly rentals.

3. Identification

For all rental transactions, a driver's license that meets the requirements of the rented vehicle class and a valid ID document or passport must be presented.

At least one of the ID or driver's license documents presented by Turkish citizens must be the new type document with an electronic chip.

4. Additional Driver Service

The vehicle may be driven by people other than the person renting by paying an additional service fee. The additional driver must also meet all the requirements needed from the initial driver and submit the requested documents. The daily service fee for each additional driver is 75 Turkish Liras.

If it is determined that the vehicle is being driven or damaged by anyone that is not included in the rental agreement, all assurances will be deemed invalid and the renter and the unauthorized driver will be held liable separately and jointly.

5.Vehicle Delivery and Receipt Services

You will be informed at our offices about the vehicle you have reserved, and your credit score will be checked and evaluated using the FINDEKS application of the Credit Registration Bureau. If your credit limit is not deemed appropriate for prepaid reservations, the car rental fee will be refunded to you within 3 to 5 business days.

6. Vehicle Return Option Period
In case of delays in returning the vehicles, only an option of up to 120 minutes is applied.

7. Fuel

The vehicle will be delivered with a full tank. If the vehicle’s fuel is not delivered back at the level specified on the contract, fuel fee and 100 Turkish Lira service fee will be charged. The service fee varies depending on the rental location.

8. Payment Conditons
Total rental amount and security deposits will be collected in the beginning of the rental through the credit card of the person renting the vehicle. Cash payment, debit card, virtual card or American Express credit card is not accepted.

Any difference in the invoice amount that may occur at the end of the lease will be charged or refunded using the same credit card. The credit card holder must be present in person during the rental. The vehicle rental cannot be rented with a credit card belonging to someone else.

In addition to the rental fee, a certain amount of deposit, depending of the brand and model of the vehicle, will be charged from the credit card presented by the customer. Therefore, credit availability of the credit card (as total of rental and deposit fee) is required. The amount charged as deposit will be refunded to the same credit card at the end of the rental period after deducting the amounts not included in the reservation, if any, such as the above mentioned additional services, assurances, missing fuel, damages, fines etc.


The deposit will be refunded to your credit card within 1-10 business days of returning the vehicle. Deposits will be processed as provisions on your credit card. Deposit amount may be directly charged throught your credit card if the rental period is over 25 days.

9. Prepaid Online Reservation Conditions

’’Online Immediate Payment’’ indicates that the rental fee and selected additional service fees will be paid online. Online reservation page; whether or not a reservation is confirmed, it does not count as a vehicle rental agreement. The rental will be processed for the person whose name is stated in the Prepaid Reservation Form details.

 

Due to 3D security, it is not mandatory for the card holder and the reservation holder to be the same person during online payment, and the reservation holder must present his/her own credit card during the rental and the deposit must be made.

 

If MAYRENT cannot provide the rental service due to its own reasons, it will refund the entire amount previously paid by the customer. For rentals to be made from MAYRENT rental offices, the compensation for prepaid reservations is limited to the amounts written on the MAYRENT Prepaid Reservation Forms.

 

MAYRENT Prepaid Reservation forms does not include additional services and assurances that our customers may request at the beginning or during the rental process, such as fuel, one-way service, traffic fines and damage fees (situations where the conditions explained in the section "What to do in case of accident and theft written in the rental agreement are not met) etc. For these fees, our customers must present a personal credit card during rental.

 

Mayrent is not responsible and liable to any commissions, exchange rate differences, service fees, etc. that may be charged by the bank of the credit card used.

 

The full amount previously paid by the customer will be refunded if Mayrent fails to provide the rental service due to its own reasons.

 

Mayrent Prepaid Reservation amount includes the car rental fee and additional services you received during the reservation. A personal credit card must be presented for the additional services and possible extras (HGS, fuel, traffic fines, one-way, situations where the conditions stated in the rental agreement are not met in the section on what to do in case of accidents and theft, etc.) that may be requested at our offices.

 

Rental conditions for prepaid reservations are listed below.

• The total amount of the car rental fee booked with the prepayment option and the additional products and assurance packages you choose will be collected at the reservation stage.

• The discount earned through prepaid reservation cannot be combined with another campaign.

• For prepaid reservations, if the reservation is canceled 24 hours before the vehicle pick-up time, the entire rental fee will be refunded by MAYRENT.

• For prepaid reservations, if our customers do not inform the relevant office, their vehicles will be kept waiting for 2 hours from the pick-up time, and our customers will be able to pick up their vehicles within these two hours. After 2 hours, the reservation will be automatically canceled by the system.

• The refund process for Prepaid Reservations varies between 3 and 5 business days, depending on the bank's transaction density.

• For Prepaid Reservations, the General Rental Conditions and the following conditions must be met in order for the vehicles to be delivered to our customers. If the following conditions are not met, the vehicle will not be allocated and the above return conditions are valid.

• The payment method for the deposit is personal credit card only and there is no cash payment or debit card application.

• The deposit amount, which varies depending on the rental type and vehicle group, must be provided from the personal credit card. The credit card must contain the name, surname and credit card number of the person who will be renting.

• In addition to the rental fee, there must be sufficient limit availability for the deposit amount to be placed on the credit card.

• The person who will receive the vehicle must present his driver's license and his own credit card to the MAYRENT office.

• The writings on the driver's license must be legible and the license must not be worn.

• T.R. on the driver's license. If the ID number is not written, T.R. ID must be presented.

• Users with a foreign driver's license must present their passport/country entry stamp to the rental office.

 

MAYRENT office may request additional information and documents for its foreign customers who do not have Turkish credit cards and Turkish citizenship by applying the international procedure. These;

10. Traffic Fines
Any liability and financial traffic fines arising from non-compliance with the traffic laws in force belong to the user. Traffic and illegal bridge and highway toll penalties incurred during the rental period of the vehicle but received after the end of the rental are collected from the person and/or company specified in the rental agreement.

The time that will pass due to the vehicles being held by official or local authorities for whatever reason is considered within the contract period. Traffic fines written on the license plate are paid at a discount when the traffic fine is notified to us and are collected from our customers' credit cards; A service fee for traffic fines is also applied simultaneously.

11. Important Notes
In case of an accident, it is mandatory to; take photos of both vehicles without changing the location of the vehicle, with the license plate visible, fill out an accident report appropriate to the type of accident, or contact the nearest police or gendarmerie station to obtain the accident, theft and alcohol detection reports and call the our 24/7 call center 444 99 64 and inform the Mayrent Communication Center.

In case the vehicle is stolen, it is mandatory to contact the nearest police or gendarmerie station and inform the Mayrent Communication Center at 444 99 64, which operates 24/7.

Otherwise, all guarantees purchased will be deemed invalid and any damage incurred, including pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages caused to third parties, will be collected from the renter. In case the vehicle breaks down or support is needed for any reason, assistance can be requested from 444 99 64, which operates 24/7.

Please make sure that the vehicle delivery form is filled out and mutually signed at the beginning of the rental.

To extend the rental period or inform/change the return time and day, please call our office where you rented or our Mayrent Call Center.

In case of an accident, vehicle malfunction or need support for any reason during rental, you can call Mayrent Call Center at 444 99 64.

If the vehicle reaches a periodic maintenance mileage during your use, please call our Mayrent Call Center to continue your journey safely.

In case the vehicle has a one-sided accident, without changing its location; In case the vehicle is stolen, accident, theft and alcohol detection reports should be obtained by contacting the nearest police or gendarmerie station. In two-sided accidents, except for the cases stated in the following articles, drivers are obliged to fill out the Material Damage Accident Report as specified on the report, depending on how the accident occurred. In two-sided accidents, a traffic accident report is prepared by the traffic police only in the following cases.
If a motor vehicle is used without a driver's license,
If the driver is underage,
If the driver is suspected of alcohol or mental health,
If one of the vehicles involved in the accident belongs to public institutions,
If damage occurs to property belonging to public institutions,
If only the belongings of third parties are damaged in a Traffic Accident,
If one of the vehicles involved in the accident does not have traffic insurance,
If the traffic accident resulted in death and/or bodily harm.

The renter accepts and undertakes to pay all damages and losses (including, but not limited to, transmission failure due to incorrect gear shifting, damage that may occur due to continuing to use the vehicle even though the warning light is on, damage caused by hitting the underside of the vehicle, cigarette burns, tears, stains that require detailed cleaning, etc. that may occur on the interior upholstery and accessories of the vehicle. , damage to parts such as tires and rims, fuel-related malfunctions and damages, etc.), including all kinds of mechanical and electrical damages, caused by usage error and/or carelessness, imprudence, etc. in the vehicle received in a sound and good condition. All damages and losses, including mechanical and electrical, are outside the scope of insurance and assurances. In determining any repairs that will be considered outside the scope of warranty, only the technical report prepared by the vehicle authorized service and/or the vehicle manufacturer/distributor company will be considered valid.

12. One Way Fees
If the vehicle is picked up from one location and returned to another one, a one-way fee charged by Mayrent. Fees may vary depending on the locations and can be shown at the reservation stage. You can get detailed information by calling our Call Center.

The renter is fully liable of any addition to the rental fee, any delay fee exceeding 2 hours, one-way fee, fuel fee, etc. These fees will be charged from the customer's credit card defined in the system without notice.

13. Corporate Leases and Authorized Persons 
The vehicle will be delivered to the renter personally on the rental start date and at the requested address. The renter must send the other authorized persons' ID and driver's license copies and a written statement on corporate format stating that they are authorized to receive the vehicle, at the latest one day before delivery.

For corporate leasing, only employees listed under SGK or persons included in the signature circular will be able to receive the vehicle. It will constitute a violation of the contract and a reason for termination in addition to other rights stated in the contract, if the renter allows third parties not specified above to use the vehicle.

In case of a corporate leasings, the below documents that must be sent;
1-Tax Certificate
2-Signature Circular
3-Activity Certificate
4-Authorization Letter

If the requested documents are not presented or are sent incompletely, the rental will be processed as an individual rental.

14. Invoicing 
Invoicing transactions are completed within 3 business days from the date you return the vehicle.

Invoices for extras you have purchased or used during the rental period will be issued by our company.

The invoices of the payments made to the authoried third parties should be requested from said a third parties..

If you corporate invoicing is requested, you must meet the conditions stated above and send the documents to the relevant office. If the specified documents are not sent or sent incompletely or do not meet the conditions, the rental invoice will be processed as individual invoicing.

15. Assurances and Extra Assurances
An explanation of our assurances is provided below. Explanations are for general and informational purposes only. Mayrent reserves the right to change this information over time. The assurances provided to your reservation will be shown in your quote and/or reservation confirmation.

You may purchase extra assurances that are not included in your initial reservation from our sales offices at the beginning of the rental. You can also obtain detailed information about limitations from our sales offices.

Mini Damage Insurance
It is a damage assurance that offers the customer the right to repair with a declaration of up to 4,000-TRY for unilateral damage cases where it is not possible to prepare a report or keep a report.

Medium Damage Insurance
It is a damage assurance that offers the customer the right to repair with a declaration of up to 6.000-TRY for unilateral damage cases where it is not possible to prepare a report or keep a report.

Major Damage Insurance
It is a damage assurance that offers the customer the right to repair with a declaration of up to 8,000-TRY for unilateral damage cases where it is not possible to prepare a report or keep a report.

Super Mini Damage Insurance
It is a damage assurance that offers the customer the right to repair with declaration up to 4,000-TRY for unilateral damage cases where it is not possible to prepare a report or keep a report for your rentals between 15-30 days.

Super Medium Damage Insurance
It is a damage assurance that offers the customer the right to repair with declaration up to 6,000-TRY for unilateral damage cases where it is not possible to prepare a report or keep a report for your rentals between 15-30 days.

Super Major Damage Insurance
It is a damage assurance that offers the customer the right to repair with declaration up to 8,000-TRY for unilateral damage cases where it is not possible to prepare a report or keep a report for your rentals between 15-30 days.


Super Maxi Damage Insurance
It is a damage assurance that offers the customer the right to repair with a declaration of up to 10,000-TRY for unilateral damage cases where it is not possible to prepare a report or keep a report for your rentals between 15-30 days. This damage assurance may only be purchased 2 times for a rental period of 15-30 days. Total declaration right is maximum 20,000-TRY.


THE ASSURANCES STATED ABOVE ARE FOR GENERAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES. DETAILED INFORMATION CAN BE OBTAINED FROM OUR RENTAL OFFICES.

16. Renting w,th a Foreign Driving License

The Turkish citizen renter knows and accepts that driving in our country with a foreign driver's license is only possible under the following terms and conditions:
1- With driver's licenses obtained from foreign countries, the vehicle can be used for a maximum of 1 year from the date of entry into our country.

2- Those who have been in our country for more than six months are required to carry the Turkish translation of their driver's license approved by foreign representatives or a notary, along with their driver's license, while driving.

3- At the end of one year, in order to drive in our country, it is mandatory to replace the driver's licenses obtained from foreign countries with our country's driver's license.

Renters with foreign nationalities know and accept that it is possible to drive in our country with the driver's licenses they have obtained from foreign countries under the following terms and conditions:
1- With driver's licenses obtained from foreign countries, a vehicle can be used for a maximum of six months from the date of entry into our country.

2- At the end of six months, in order to be able to drive in our country, the driver's licenses obtained from foreign countries must be replaced with our country's driver's license.

3- The driver accepts and declares that it is forbidden to take Mayrent vehicles abroad. 

17. Kilometer Limitation
Kilometer (KM) limitation is as stated in the table below. 4 TRY (including VAT) is charged per kilometer. Aside from these, extra KM packages are available.
- 250 KM by paying 500 TRY,
- 500 KM by paying 1000 TRY,
- 1000 KM by paying 2000 TRY
KM packages are added only under specified conditions. Additions cannot be made in the middle of the rental or after the rental. For rentals that are not purchased under the specified conditions, our customers are subject to a fee of 4 TRY per KM. Extra KM packages may only be added 3 times each. No refund will be made if the KM packages are not used.
